Sep. 6th -- Christian Marclay

Today I met Christian Marclay: sound artist, recent curator of Ensemble, opening today at ICA and "turntablist." We got a sneak peek of the exhibit. There were several pieces that struck my particular interest, but since all of the work was not quite functional when we arrived, I will wait to post later on what I thought of the pieces. Marclay is into Fluxus and Cage. Surprise. Did some interesting stuff with records on the floor. In fact, I remember looking up this image perhaps a year or two ago. It's weird finally meeting these people. The world really is as easy as ABC: Alphabet City, the Bay, and Canada.
