Bring Poetry to the People

I was quite interested to read this post by Al Filreis, professor at the University of Pennsylvania, today. Although the group disbanded over a decade ago, the spirit is in keeping with what I am coming to see as my sub-academic role: to make poetry available. Rather than impart knowledge (profess(or)), what if we spend our energy, and hopefully unique knowledge of a certain field, on making previously inaccessible works available? Although Al Filreis' project seemed to focus on many 20th century staples, the listserv nevertheless made these works uniquely available to those who would not have accessed them otherwise.
